Henan Section of Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-speed Railway Commissioned
Followed the joint commissioning of the Henan section of the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High-speed Railway line between Zhengzhou East railway station and Dengzhou East railway station on August 13, the joint commissioning of the Henan section of the Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-speed Railway line between Zhengzhou South railway station and Jieshou South railway station was officially launched on August 18. The joint commissioning will last for 3 months, which means that the railway line, as an important part of Henan’s star shaped railway network, will be opened soon.
The Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-speed Railway line is 281 kilometers in length, starting from Zhengzhou city, capital of Henan province, to Fuyang city, Anhui province, via Kaifeng city (Weishi county), Xuchang county and Zhoukou city. Among them, Henan section covers 211.764 kilometers in length. Bearing a double-track railway, the main line is designed with a target speed of 380 kilometers per hour.
According to China Railway Zhengzhou Group Co., Ltd, the joint commissioning of the Henan section of the Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-speed Railway line will last at least 3 months. During the joint commissioning period, the train will speed up gradually from 80 kilometers per hour to a maximum of 385 kilometers per hour. The commissioning guarantees important technical support for the operation of the railway.
It is reported that the Henan section of the Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-speed Railway line has 8 stations, including Zhengzhou South railway station, Xuchang North railway station, Yanling railway station, Fugou South railway station, Xihua railway station, Zhoukou East railway station, Huaiyang South railway station and Shenqiu North railway station.
The Henan section of the Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-speed Railway line is expected to start operation by the end of this year. By then, as a convenient passage between the capital Zhengzhou city and the southeastern cities within the province, the line will end the history of no high-speed train services in Zhoukou city and will become another fast track connecting Henan and Anhui provinces. Henan’s star shaped railway network is taking shape.
